Plus que les paroles, plus que le texte balzacien, ce spectacle veut contenir, être le reflet vivant de l'univers et du phénomène romantique, être l'image - comme une peinture dessinée par le jeu - de cette époque particulière avec ses moeurs, ses stéréotypes, ses passions, ses partis pris, son ridicule.

Beyond the words beyond Balzac's writings, this play aspires to contain, to be the living reflection of the romantic world and phenomenon. Like a painting acted out, it seeks to be the image of this distinctive era, with its manners, its stereotypes, its passions, its prejudices and its absurdities.
